French rapper WeRenoi was urgently hospitalized on May 16, 2025, at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital, following a cardiac arrest. The information, initially revealed by blogger Aqababe, quickly spread across social media, fueling rumors of death. Aqababe reported that WeRenoi was in critical condition, initially in intensive care, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

The artist's manager denied the initial reports, but multiple sources, including Public magazine, confirm the hospitalization and the severity of the situation. For security reasons, WeRenoi was reportedly registered under an assumed name at the hospital. A cryptic message from the manager's wife on Instagram also fueled speculation.

Aqababe claims to have obtained confidential medical information from a hospital staff member, raising ethical concerns.
